Cruise fashion positions itself in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza
For the second consecutive year and organized by IFEMA -through its Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid- and Mercedes-Benz Spain, the second edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza that was held at the Ushuaia Hotel has been a success. This year Spanish companies like Alvarno, Andrés Sardá, Custo Barcelona, Jorge Vázquez, 2nd LAB by The 2nd Skin and international Melissa Odabash have paraded.
Without a doubt, the qualitative works of Charo Izquierdo, together with his great team, made this catwalk begin to have the necessary strength to open borders and reach new horizons. Today the Ibiza catwalk is the new European platform for the cruise collections and already a national and international benchmark.
The staging of the designers have not left the spectators indifferent, here a brief summary of what was experienced in this great show!
While Alvaro presented a romantic ‘resort’ 2019 collection and much more carefree than usual, Custo Barcelona brought its characteristic fusion of genres, in a collection designed for those Ibiza afternoons.
Melissa Odabash, was the international guest of this second edition. She presented an international women’s collection, which can be desired by both Spanish and Abu Dhabi, ” the designer explained.
The 2nd Skin Co presented their second line, The 2ND LAB, with a more casual and affordable collection.
Andrés Sardá presented a collection inspired by day models, more sailors, in navy blue, raw and red. The ones for the night are more sophisticated, with black and bright tones, with accessories by Fiona Ferrer made by artisans from Colombia and sunglasses from Italia Independent.
Jorge Vázquez has been inspired by Africa and Rousseau’s paintings for his ‘resort’ 2019 collection. Exquisite!
